About Matthew John
Matthew John Literski built a straightforward path into the law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Western Michigan University in 2010 and continued at the same university’s Cooley Law School, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2014. Those academic years shaped his early approach to practice and tied him closely to Michigan’s legal community.
His connection to Harris and Literski began before law school was complete. While still a student he worked as a clerk at the firm in 2010. That early role introduced him to day-to-day practice at a local firm and offered hands-on experience with client matters and courtroom procedures. After finishing law school, he returned to the firm as a lawyer in 2016.
Literski’s career follows a compact, local trajectory. He moved from a clerkship role into a practicing attorney position at the same firm. That continuity has allowed him to develop working knowledge of the firm’s operations and the needs of clients in Michigan. He is admitted to practice in Michigan and has spent his professional life engaged in the state’s legal system.
Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in handling routine and complex tasks alike. As a clerk, he handled research and support duties. As an attorney, he took on responsibilities that required client contact, preparation of filings, and courtroom appearances when needed.
