About Matthew Gregory

Matthew Gregory Midgett built his approach to law on two pieces of education. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Georgia in 2001. Years later he completed a Juris Doctor at Georgia State University College of Law, graduating in 2008. Those years in school established the legal foundation he has used in practice since.

He began his professional career in firm settings. In 2011 he worked as an associate at Brennan, Harris & Rominger. The following year he moved to The Nye Law Group, also as an associate. Those early roles gave him routine exposure to client intake, case preparation, and the demands of litigation practice.

In 2016 he launched his own firm, The Law Offices of Matthew G. Midgett, P.C., and has served as owner since. Running a small firm has required him to combine case work with business responsibilities. He manages client matters, directs litigation strategy, and oversees the administrative side of the practice.

His credentials include admission to practice in the State of Georgia and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. That combination allows him to handle matters that arise in state courts and those that reach the federal appellate level within the circuit. Over time he has developed familiarity with the procedural demands of both state and federal dockets.

Clients and colleagues describe him as methodical and direct in courtroom settings. He tends to favor clear legal writing and careful preparation. That approach shows up in the way he organizes files, prepares witnesses, and frames arguments for judges.

Outside the courtroom he has maintained professional connections that support his work. He has been affiliated with legal associations during his career and continues to participate in the broader legal community. The practice he runs is based on steady, practical legal work rather than promotional activity.

He currently focuses his practice on matters brought in Georgia courts and cases that proceed before the Eleventh Circuit.
