About Matthew
Matthew J. Graber is an attorney based in Mason, Ohio, with a focus on family law, business law, and estate planning. His legal career began after he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1997. Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1994. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998, Mr. Graber later became a member of the Ohio Bar in 2002, starting his extensive legal practice in these two states. In the early stages of his career, Mr. Graber gained inexperience as a Legal Intern for the United States Attorney for the Western District of New York.
This role provided him with a foundational understanding of federal legal processes. Following his internship, he served as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida’s 7th Judicial Circuit, where he developed his skills in courtroom advocacy and client representation. In 2002, he returned to Ohio and joined Peeler, McGary & Zopff, L.P.A. in Mason, where he practiced until he established his own firm, Graber Law Office, LLC, in 2007. Throughout his career, Mr. Graber has represented clients in various courts, including Mason Municipal Court, Warren County Court, and Clermont County Court. His legal acumen has also led him to argue cases before the Ohio Twelfth District Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court. In 2022, he was appointed to a Magistrate position in a local court, a significant milestone that required him to close his private practice.
He ensured that all client matters were completed with diligence, returning original documents to clients and maintaining their files securely for seven years before their destruction. Mr. Graber is actively involved in the legal community. He is a member of both the Ohio State Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association. His commitment to the profession is further exemplified by his service on the Warren County Bar Association's Character and Fitness Committee, where he reviews the qualifications of new attorneys seeking admission to the bar. Additionally, he participates in the University at Buffalo Alumni Mentorship Program, guiding aspiring lawyers as they navigate their careers. Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Graber is dedicated to community service.
He coaches soccer for the Cincinnati SAY Youth Soccer organization and ice hockey for the Cincinnati Swords Youth Hockey Club, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among young athletes. As a Den Leader for the Cincinnati Area Cub Scouts, he engages with youth in a meaningful way. Mr. Graber is also a three-time finisher of the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, completing the race in 2005, 2006. 2014, showcasing his commitment to fitness and perseverance.
