About Matthew D

Matthew D Davidson built a steady path into the law. He earned a B.S. in History and Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University, graduating in 2012. He then enrolled at Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University and received his J.D. in 2016. Those years shaped his approach to legal questions: careful, evidence-driven, and attentive to context.

After law school, Davidson established his practice in Ohio. He is licensed to practice in that state and has centered his professional life there since leaving the academy. Early in his career he handled a range of matters that introduced him to courtroom procedure, client counseling and the business side of running a practice. He kept one foot in public service while maintaining a private practice, balancing municipal work and client demands.

Outside the office, Davidson took on a civic role in Fairfield. Beginning in 2018 he joined the Fairfield City Civil Service Commission. He has continued in that role, participating in hearings and administrative decisions that affect municipal employment and operations. That appointment has given him regular exposure to local government procedures and to the administrative law considerations that accompany public employment.

Davidson practices from Davidson Law Offices Co., L.P.A. The firm serves clients across matters presented in Ohio courts and administrative venues. He has handled cases that required litigation skills and others that relied on negotiated solutions. Colleagues describe his courtroom demeanor as measured and clear; clients have relied on him for practical, process-oriented advice. He also oversees aspects of practice management at the firm, from client intake to case preparation.

He remains active in the professional community and local civic affairs. That combination of private practice and municipal service informs how he evaluates disputes and how he prepares cases. He continues to work at Davidson Law Offices Co., L.P.A., representing clients and serving on the Fairfield City Civil Service Commission, and his current practice focuses on matters arising under Ohio law.
