About Matthew
Matthew Bigler built his professional life around public service and the steady work of a small law practice. He took a traditional path through higher education and into courtrooms. He brings courtroom time and institutional knowledge to his current role at Ladendorf Law.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education from Indiana State University in 2005, then completed a Master of Arts in Political Science at Purdue University in 2007. He finished his legal training at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2010. Those years framed a steady progression from the classroom to practice.
After law school he moved into prosecutorial work. In 2011 he served as a deputy prosecutor in the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office and later that year in the Warrick County Prosecutor’s Office. Those assignments placed him in the daily tasks of a prosecutor: preparing cases, working with investigators, and appearing in front of judges and juries. The experience gave him practice handling court procedures and case preparation under pressure.
He transitioned to private practice a few years later. In 2016 he joined Ladendorf Law as an associate. The move shifted his day-to-day work from public office to the firm environment. At Ladendorf Law he has worked on matters for the firm’s clients and collaborated with colleagues on case strategy and litigation tasks.
Colleagues and courtroom observers note that his background in county prosecutor offices contributes to a practical sense of how cases proceed. That background informs his approach to evidence, witness preparation, and courtroom procedure. He has shown an ability to move between the demands of public prosecution and the different rhythms of private firm work.
Bigler is licensed to practice in Indiana and has spent his career centered in that state. He continues to practice at Ladendorf Law. He currently practices law at Ladendorf Law, representing clients and handling matters in Indiana.
