About Matthew Alan

Matthew Alan Goldberger grew up interested in public affairs and law. He pursued that interest academically before entering the legal field. His path combined a liberal arts grounding in political science with formal legal study at a national law center.

He attended Georgetown University Law Center. Before law school he studied at the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. Those years shaped his understanding of the institutions and statutes that lawyers work with every day.

Goldberger is admitted to practice in both Florida and New York. That dual admission allows him to handle matters that cross state lines and to serve clients who require representation in either jurisdiction. Over time he has built a practice that uses the tools available in both states’ courts and regulatory systems.

Colleagues describe him as deliberate in his approach. He favors careful preparation and clear writing. In meetings and filings he aims to make complex points accessible and to set out the legal issues plainly. His courtroom appearances and negotiations reflect that same preference for clarity. He tends to focus on establishing the factual record and charting a straightforward path through procedural hurdles.

He established The Goldberger Firm as the home base for his practice. The office serves as the point of contact for local clients and for matters that require coordination across jurisdictions. He draws on his educational background and multi-state admission to advise clients about statutory and procedural questions in both Florida and New York. He currently focuses his practice on legal matters that arise under the laws of Florida and New York.
