About Matt

Matt Woods studied at Thomas More College before earning his law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. His education grounded him in the state’s legal community and connected him with peers across northern Kentucky.

After law school, Woods built a practice in Kentucky. He has worked in private practice and has experience representing clients in state forums. Over time he has handled a range of matters that arise under Kentucky law, moving between advisory work and formal dispute settings as cases require.

Woods is licensed to practice in Kentucky and holds an active membership in the Kentucky Bar Association. That connection keeps him engaged with continuing legal education and the professional conversations that shape practice in the state.

He practices at Woods Law, PLLC. In that role he provides advice to individuals and to local organizations. He prepares filings, negotiates on behalf of clients, and represents parties in hearings. His work often requires managing procedural steps and explaining legal options in plain terms to those he represents.

Colleagues describe Woods as pragmatic in his approach. He tends to assess strengths and risks early, and then chart a course that reflects the client’s priorities. He favors clear, direct communication and tries to set realistic expectations about timelines and likely outcomes.

Outside the office he maintains ties to the local legal community through bar activities and continuing education events. He keeps current on developments in Kentucky law that affect his clients. That ongoing attention helps him respond to changes in procedure or statute that can affect case strategy.

Woods combines courtroom experience and transactional work, handling both contested matters and negotiated resolutions. He works primarily with clients who need representation under Kentucky law, and he focuses his practice on serving those needs through Woods Law, PLLC.

He currently practices law at Woods Law, PLLC, serving clients across Kentucky on matters arising under Kentucky law.
