About Matt

Matt Schmoldt earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration from Utah State University in 2013. He went on to study law at Brigham Young University, receiving his J.D. in 2017. Those years framed a transition from business to law that continues to shape how he approaches cases.

After law school he entered practice in Utah and joined Creekside Injury Law as a lawyer. His work since then has centered on representing people who have been hurt or injured. He moved from classroom theory to courtroom strategy and client advocacy, learning the practical demands of personal injury practice along the way.

Schmoldt is an active member of the Utah State Bar and is listed in good standing. He also holds membership in the Utah Association for Justice. Those affiliations connect him to continuing education, local rules updates and peer networks that inform daily practice.

His background in marketing and business shows up in how he manages cases. He pays attention to client communications and the logistics of a claim. He evaluates damages and the practical outcomes clients are seeking. Cases can be technical and detail-heavy, and he looks for clear ways to present facts to adjusters, opposing counsel and juries.

Colleagues describe him as someone who prepares thoroughly and follows through on filings and deadlines. He handles investigations, negotiates with insurers and prepares files for trial when settlement is not an option. His litigation work includes drafting pleadings, taking depositions and arguing motions. He balances the courtroom work with client-facing responsibilities, explaining legal options in plain terms and setting realistic expectations.

He practices at Creekside Injury Law in Utah. His day-to-day work remains concentrated on personal injury matters, representing clients in claims arising from accidents and related injuries.
