About Mary E.
Mary E. Ramos earned her law degree from Texas Southern University in 1999 after completing a bachelor’s degree in management at Park University in 1997. Those academic years framed her early interest in legal practice and public service. She took a direct route into the Texas legal community, returning to Houston to build a practice that centers on family law.
Her formal entry into the Texas bar came in 2004. That same year she opened Ramos Law Group, PLLC, a firm she continues to operate. Over time she has held memberships in a range of professional organizations that reflect both local ties and statewide involvement. She has been a member of the State Bar of Texas, the College of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston since 2004. She later joined the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2014 and the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists in 2015.
Board certification came as a formal recognition of her work in the field. She is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. That credential marks an attorney who has met specific experience requirements and passed a specialty examination. Her continuing legal education history includes credits and training recorded through the Texas bar program between 2004 and 2012.
Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who emphasizes practical solutions in often difficult personal matters. Her practice handles the kinds of disputes that land in family courts — dissolutions, custody questions, support matters, and the attendant enforcement or modification proceedings. She has built a practice that balances courtroom preparation and negotiation. Over the years she has navigated contested hearings and settlement talks, handling evidence, client counseling, and procedural strategy.
Ramos remains active in the legal community through her ongoing memberships and the work of her firm. Ramos Law Group, PLLC serves clients in Texas, where she is licensed. She maintains her board certification and continues to participate in specialty and local bar activities. Her current practice centers on family law matters in Texas.
