About Mary

Mary Coones began her legal path in Texas and moved steadily into private practice. She earned her Juris Doctor at Texas A&M University School of Law in 2005 after beginning law studies in 2002. Her education set the stage for a career spent largely in firm settings and courtroom environments.

Her first recorded position was at Tate Rehmet Law Office in 2001, where she worked as an assistant and associate lawyer. That early role provided hands-on exposure to day-to-day practice and client work. Over time she took on increasingly responsible associate positions, learning firm operations and case management along the way.

In 2006 she joined Hunter, Kalinke, & Boyd as an associate lawyer. The move placed her among a team of litigators and gave her more regular courtroom assignments. She later became an associate at Lawyer Dean Boyd, PLLC in 2013, continuing to handle matters that required careful preparation and advocacy. Those years in associate roles helped shape her tactical approach and sharpened her procedure and negotiation skills.

In 2020 she launched Bradshaw Coones, PLLC and took on the role of owner and lawyer. Building a practice during that period required shifting from an associate’s responsibilities to managing a firm’s business needs and client intake. She has overseen case strategy, client counseling, and the administrative side of running a small firm.

Coones maintains ties to professional networks in Texas. She is a current member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, an organization that connects practitioners who work in trial and litigation settings. That affiliation keeps her engaged with continuing legal education and conversations about courtroom practice.

Colleagues describe her as steady in litigation settings and attentive to case details. She has navigated the demands of trial calendars, deadlines, and client expectations across multiple firms, then into her own practice. Her career shows a steady progression from assistant roles to firm leadership, with experience in both advocacy and firm management.

She currently practices at Bradshaw Coones, PLLC, where she focuses on representing clients in civil litigation and trial matters.
