About Marvin L.
Marvin L. Solomiany built his legal foundation at two well-regarded schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. Those formative years shaped his approach to litigation and client counseling.
Early in his career he focused on family law. Over time he took on roles that moved him beyond casework into leadership and professional education. He served as Chair of the State Bar of Georgia Family Law Section from 2016 to 2017, a post that involved organizing programs, advising on policy, and helping set priorities for practitioners across the state. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, an honor reserved for experienced lawyers who meet specific professional standards.
He is admitted to practice in Georgia, before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and before the United States Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect work on matters that can range from state family-court disputes to appeals and certiorari-stage filings. He remains an active member of the State Bar of Georgia.
Solomiany’s practice centers on family and matrimonial law. He handles contested divorces, asset division, child custody disputes, and related hearings. His courtroom experience includes trials and appellate matters, and he has worked on cases involving complex financial issues and custody evaluations. Colleagues and clients note his attention to procedural detail and his willingness to pursue litigation when settlement is not possible.
Beyond the courtroom he has contributed to the legal community through the Family Law Section. In that role he helped shape continuing-education offerings and provided guidance on ethical and procedural developments affecting family-law practitioners in Georgia. His Fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers reflects peer recognition within the field of matrimonial law.
He practices in Georgia and continues to work on family-law and matrimonial matters. His current practice focus is family law and matrimonial matters.
