About Martins I.
Martins I. Imudia holds a law postgraduate degree in admiralty and maritime law and a doctorate in global supply chain management. He completed an LL.M. in Admiralty & Maritime Law from Tulane University School of Law in 1995. Later doctoral work at Walden University culminated in a Ph.D. in Global Supply Chain Management in 2014 after beginning those studies in 2009. The academic path combines legal study with an interest in the systems that move goods and people across borders.
After his LL.M., Imudia moved into private practice and corporate leadership. He became senior partner at Martins I. Imudia & Associates, APLC in 1997. That role established him as a steady presence in his community and in client-facing work. In 2014 he took on an additional role as director and lead lawyer for the Center for U.S. Immigration Services, a position that expanded his practice into immigration casework and administrative representation.
Imudia is licensed to practice in Louisiana. His memberships include the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where he participates in the professional community that shapes immigration practice and policy. Over the years he has balanced firm work with roles at immigration service offices. The Center for U.S. Immigration Services maintains offices in the Tampa Bay region where he has worked, including Clearwater and Bradenton.
His training in admiralty and maritime law informs part of his legal perspective. Maritime rules and admiralty traditions introduce specialized procedures and international elements. His doctoral study in global supply chains adds another layer. It deepened his understanding of logistics, regulation, and the commercial networks that connect jurisdictions. Those strands—maritime law, immigration practice, and supply-chain study—come together in client matters that involve cross-border movement, regulatory compliance, and administrative hearings.
Colleagues and clients see a lawyer who blends courtroom and administrative experience with academic study. He has run a private practice while also taking on leadership at an immigration services center. That dual role has kept him closely involved in day-to-day casework and in the management of legal services.
He currently maintains his practice through Martins I. Imudia & Associates, APLC and through work at the Center for U.S. Immigration Services, concentrating his practice on immigration law and matters that intersect with admiralty and cross-border commerce.
