About Marlene
Marlene Laimeche built her legal foundation in Washington, D.C. She earned a B.A. from George Washington University in 2009 and completed her J.D. at American University Washington College of Law in 2013. Those years framed her interest in litigation and workplace law and set the stage for an early start in the capital’s legal community.
Her first position after law school was a contract role at Kellogg Huber Hansen Todd Evans & Figel PLLC in 2013. That entry allowed her to work on discrete matters while she prepared for bar admission and sought a permanent placement. In 2014 she moved to Fayad Law PC as an associate, taking on a broader docket and more client-facing responsibilities. The progression was steady and deliberate; she gained hands-on experience in case preparation, drafting and courtroom procedure.
Laimeche joined Gilbert Employment Law P.C. as an associate in 2015. Over the next several years she took on increasingly complex work and was promoted to senior associate in 2018. At Gilbert she has worked alongside seasoned employment lawyers and handled matters that required detailed discovery, motion practice and counseling on workplace policies. Her time at the firm marks the longest and most sustained portion of her legal career to date.
She is admitted to practice in Maryland and in the District of Columbia. Those admissions permit her to litigate and advise on matters that arise across the metropolitan area. Colleagues describe her as methodical in legal analysis and straightforward in client conversations. She combines practical courtroom experience from earlier roles with the day-to-day demands of employment law practice in a busy regional firm.
Marlene Laimeche currently practices at Gilbert Employment Law P.C., where she handles employment disputes, policy issues and litigation in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She continues to represent clients on workplace matters and to manage litigation from intake through resolution.
