About Markeith

Markeith Wilson studied accounting before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in Accounting from North Carolina A&T State University in 2001. After several years that included private and community pursuits, he returned to school and received his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2010.

Wilson moved quickly into legal practice after law school. He launched M. D. Wilson Law, LLC in 2010, taking on the responsibilities that come with owning a small firm. Two years later he became managing partner at The Wilson Davis Firm, LLC, a role he took on in 2012. Those positions have given him experience running a practice and handling the administrative and client-facing demands that accompany leadership in a law firm.

His professional memberships trace a trajectory through several Georgia bar groups. He has participated in the Georgia State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section since 2010. He joined the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2011. He added membership in the State Bar of Georgia Family Law Section in 2013, and the Veterans/Military Section in 2014. The pattern of affiliations suggests a lawyer who has engaged with a range of practice communities and peer networks across family, criminal defense, and veterans’ legal issues.

Colleagues and clients see him as a practitioner who combines litigation experience with case management skills. He has handled matters in criminal defense and family law settings, and he has worked on issues that affect veterans and service members. His background in accounting sometimes informs the financial aspects of family law cases, particularly where property division or support calculations require attention to figures and records.

Wilson’s membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., since 2015 points to networks beyond the courtroom. Fraternal involvement often ties lawyers into civic and community activities, and in his case it complements the professional associations that mark much of his career.

His time as an owner and as a managing partner means he has dealt with the daily realities of running a legal practice: staffing, client intake, case strategy and billing. He also maintains contact with bar groups that provide continuing education and peer review. The combination of law school training, an undergraduate accounting degree, and years in practice shapes how he approaches client matters.

As of 2026 he divides his work between criminal defense, family law, and veterans-related legal matters.
