About Mark
Mark Solomon trained at San Jose State College before earning his law degree at Santa Clara University School of Law. His education combined public university roots and a private law school curriculum. That background set the stage for a career that has included both bar service and private practice.
Early in his post-law school years he became active in bar organizations. He joined the American Bar Association in 2007 and remains a member. He also holds membership in the Clark County Bar Association and has participated in State Bar of Nevada committees. Twice he served as chair of the State Bar of Nevada’s Legislative Committee, first from 2008 to 2011 and again from 2012 to 2013. Those appointments placed him at the center of the state bar’s review of legislation and policy affecting lawyers.
Solomon’s record of committee work reflects sustained engagement with the institutions that shape practice in Nevada. Serving as Legislative Committee chair required working with colleagues across the bar, tracking bills, and advising on the bar’s official positions. The dates of his two terms indicate a multi-year investment in the process of bar governance and legislative review rather than a brief or occasional involvement.
He practices at Solomon Dwiggins & Freer, LTD. At the firm he applies the practical lessons of committee service to client matters and to the mentorship of younger lawyers. Colleagues note his steady presence in bar circles and his willingness to serve in administrative roles. The combination of formal legal education and hands-on committee work has informed how he approaches questions that touch on professional regulation and statutory change.
Solomon balances firm responsibilities with ongoing participation in professional groups. His long-standing membership in the American Bar Association and current ties to the Clark County Bar Association continue to shape his professional network. His experience chairing the State Bar of Nevada Legislative Committee on two occasions gives him direct familiarity with the legislative side of legal practice.
He is currently based at Solomon Dwiggins & Freer, LTD, where his practice concentrates on legislative and bar-related matters in Nevada.
