About Mark

Mark Seltzer earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh before completing his law degree at Temple University in 1976. He trained during a period when the courts and medical-legal issues were becoming more complex. He began his professional life equipped for litigation and practice in Pennsylvania.

A few years after law school, he founded Seltzer & Associates, PC in 1980. The firm has served clients in Pennsylvania for decades. Establishing a practice so soon after entering the bar signaled an early commitment to building a sustained legal practice rather than joining a large firm.

Over the years Seltzer has maintained active membership in a broad set of professional organizations. He belongs to the Pennsylvania State Bar and the Philadelphia Bar Association. He is listed with the American Bar Association and holds membership in the American Association for Justice and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He also participates in local trial lawyer circles through the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. His memberships extend into medical-legal circles as well, including the American College of Legal Medicine and an honorary membership in the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Those ties to both legal and medical organizations indicate an attorney who engages regularly with issues at the intersection of law and health care. They suggest ongoing contact with physicians, medical experts, and peer groups that address clinical and scientific matters in legal settings. He has drawn on those connections in work that involves expert testimony and complex factual records.

Seltzer’s career spans several decades and multiple eras of practice. He has navigated changes in litigation procedure, evidence rules, and the way courts handle expert medical testimony. He has operated a small firm environment where case handling, client contact, and trial preparation remain direct responsibilities of the lead attorney. That structure has allowed him to oversee matters personally from intake through trial when necessary.

Today he continues to practice at Seltzer & Associates, PC in Pennsylvania. He concentrates his practice on cases that intersect law and medicine and on trial advocacy for clients in the state.
