About Mark

Mark Scheier has been a fixture in the Massachusetts legal community for more than five decades. His career stretches from the late 1960s into the 21st century. He is known within local circles for steady, long-term involvement rather than headline-grabbing cases.

He studied at Northeastern University School of Law, earning a law degree in 1968 and completing an S.J.D. in 1972. Those academic milestones gave him both the foundational training of a practicing lawyer and the advanced research credentials of a doctor of juridical science. The combination shaped a practice that blends litigation experience and legal analysis.

After completing his studies, Scheier established his practice in Massachusetts. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and has spent the bulk of his career working in state courts. Over the years he has handled a range of matters that arise in state practice, building familiarity with local rules, judges and procedures.

In 1990 he took on the role of managing attorney at Scheier Katin & Epstein PC. In that capacity he oversaw firm operations and supervised other attorneys. The position placed him at the intersection of casework and administration. Peers and colleagues looked to him for decisions about staffing, strategy and client intake, and he remained involved in both the business and legal sides of the practice.

Scheier's work reflects the arc of a long legal career: courtroom experience, client counseling and firm leadership. He has handled contested matters in Massachusetts courts and provided counsel to clients navigating state law. His S.J.D. background means he has also approached problems with an eye for detailed legal research and written argument.

Now in the later years of his career, Scheier continues to practice at Scheier Katin & Epstein PC in Massachusetts. He remains active in overseeing matters for the firm and handling cases in state courts. He currently practices at Scheier Katin & Epstein PC, handling matters in Massachusetts courts.
