Mark Kent Bridgeford is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1978. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Bridgeford is the founder of The Bridgeford Law Office, APC, a law firm located in Valencia, California. He has been practicing law for over 47 years, serving clients throughout the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas.
Mr. Bridgeford earned his Juris Doctor degree from San Fernando Valley College of Law in 1977. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Northridge, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1974. During his time at San Fernando Valley College of Law, he focused on courses related to workers' compensation law, laying the foundation for his future specialization.
Mr. Bridgeford concentrates his practice exclusively on workers' compensation law. He represents both employers and employees, assisting them through the complex regulations and reforms in this area. His practice encompasses all stages of workers' compensation cases, including initial case evaluation, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. He has represented leading companies such as Pitney Bowes, U-Haul, and Delta Airlines in workers' compensation matters.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bridgeford has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as a general litigation counsel at the Insurance Company of North America from 1988 to 1999, as chief counsel at Nordskog Aerospace Industries from 1984 to 1988, and as regulatory counsel at UCIS Insurance Company from 1978 to 1984.
Mr. Bridgeford is an active member of the Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association for the Central District of California. He is a certified specialist in workers' compensation law through the California Board of Legal Specialization, a designation he has held since 1995. Mr. Bridgeford is fluent in English, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the Santa Clarita Valley effectively.
