About Mark Daryl
Mark Daryl Miller is a registered patent attorney with over 35 years of experience in intellectual property law. He has secured hundreds of patents and trademarks for clients through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has assisted in obtaining patents and trademarks in foreign countries. Additionally, Mr. Miller specializes in business litigation related to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition. He has been an instructor for intellectual property law classes at the San Joaquin College of Law since 1993. Mr. Miller earned his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1984 and holds a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University.
He is admitted to practice in California, Washington, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. In California, Mr. Miller was admitted to the State Bar in 1991.
His license status is currently not eligible to practice law in California due to a suspension for failing to pay fees, effective July 1, 2015. In Washington, he was admitted to the State Bar in 2020. He is also a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Miller is a member of several professional associations, including the King County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Intellectual Property Section of the California State Bar. The Fresno County Bar Association. He has been recognized with an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell® and was selected as a Northern California Super Lawyer from 2005 to 2022.
