About Mark Andrew
Mark Andrew Begnaud studied psychology at Harvard University and earned his B.A. in 2001. He stayed in the Southeast for law school, receiving his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2007. Those academic stops shaped an interest in how systems and people interact, an interest that appears again in his professional choices.
After law school Begnaud built a practice that moves between state and federal courts. He is admitted to the bar in Georgia and authorized to appear before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals. On the federal side he has filings in the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and has appeared in the Eleventh Circuit. That range of admissions means he handles matters at both trial and appellate levels.
Begnaud’s courtroom work blends litigation and appellate briefing. He has experience preparing pleadings, arguing motions and drafting appellate briefs. He also handles procedural and substantive issues that arise when cases shift from trial courts to appellate panels. His methodical approach shows up in the care he takes with briefs and court filings.
Colleagues describe him as deliberate in preparation and precise in written work. He favors clear legal writing and tight record development. Those habits matter in appellate work, where the record and the brief carry the argument. They also matter in federal litigation, where procedural detail often shapes outcomes.
Over the years Begnaud has worked on a variety of civil matters. He has managed discovery disputes and dispositive motions in trial courts and has taken appeals through the state and federal appellate processes. He navigates the procedural rules that differ between Georgia’s courts and the federal system, and he adapts arguments to the standards those courts apply.
Outside the courtroom he contributes to case strategy and client counseling. He assists clients in weighing risks and benefits at each stage of litigation. He also coordinates with trial counsel when appeals are likely, helping to preserve issues for review and to assemble the record.
Mark Andrew Begnaud maintains an active practice in Georgia and federal courts, concentrating his work on litigation and appellate matters in the state and the Eleventh Circuit.
