About Marisol

Marisol Escalante brings a steady, practical presence to cases that cross state lines and enter federal court. She earned her J.D. from The City University of New York School of Law in 2001 after completing a B.S. at Rutgers University in 1994. Those years shaped her understanding of the law and prepared her for practice across several jurisdictions.

After law school, Escalante built a practice that spans both state and federal forums. She has been admitted to practice in Indiana, Arizona and New Jersey. Her federal admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Over the course of her career she has managed filings, appeared at hearings and taken matters through complex procedural stages in multiple courts.

Her work habit is plain and workmanlike. She approaches case preparation in a step-by-step manner. That has meant careful pleadings, attention to court rules and an emphasis on deadlines. Colleagues describe her as straightforward in the courtroom and methodical in discovery and motion practice.

Escalante’s practice regularly requires coordination across jurisdictions. Cases that begin in state court sometimes move into federal court; matters originating in one state may implicate rules or parties in another. She navigates these transitions by keeping procedural strategy front and center and by maintaining familiarity with the rules of the courts where she is admitted. The result is a practice oriented toward resolving disputes through orderly litigation processes rather than headline-grabbing tactics.

Today Escalante maintains an active presence in the courts where she is licensed. She continues to represent clients in state and federal proceedings in Indiana, Arizona and New Jersey. Her current practice concentrates on litigation matters that require courtroom experience in both state and federal tribunals.
