About Marion Lee

Marion Lee Wasserman earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School after completing graduate work in English Language and Literature at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She holds a B.A. from the University of Rochester. Those academic chapters reflect an uncommon blend of legal training and humanities scholarship.

After completing law school she was admitted to practice in Massachusetts and has worked in the state since. Her career has included representing clients in family law matters and serving in the role of neutral mediator. The combination of trial training and mediation practice informs how she approaches negotiations and settlement conversations.

Wasserman is a Certified Divorce and Family Mediator through the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation. That certification signals formal training in the processes that help families resolve custody, parenting time, and property division disputes outside of court. In mediation sessions she places emphasis on clear communication, careful information-gathering, and drafting agreements that reflect the parties’ practical needs. Her background in English literature also informs her written work; she is attentive to precise language in agreements and to framing complex issues in accessible terms.

Clients and colleagues describe her work as methodical and serviceable rather than flashy. She has experience handling the procedural aspects of family cases in Massachusetts courts and the quieter work of helping people find workable resolutions. She consults on parenting plans and financial settlements and regularly shepherds mediated agreements toward finalization and, when necessary, approval by the court.

Outside the mediation room she has contributed to professional conversations about dispute resolution and the practice of family law in local forums and continuing education settings. She has maintained professional relationships across the bar and the mediation community in Massachusetts, participating in events that bring attorneys and neutrals together to discuss best practices.

Wasserman continues to practice in Massachusetts, serving parties in divorce and family-law disputes in both represented and neutral capacities. Her current practice centers on divorce and family mediation.
