About Mario
Mario Iveljic began his professional path in economics before turning to law. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University in 1999 and completed his J.D. at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology in 2003. Those two degrees set a foundation for a career that moves between courtroom work, in-house counsel responsibilities and the business side of sports.
He entered private practice immediately after law school as an associate at Cremer, Kopon, Shaughnessy & Spina, LLC in 2003. Three years later he joined Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP as a partner, a role he held as he handled litigation matters and client counseling. In 2015 he shifted to in-house work, serving as litigation counsel for The CNA Insurance Companies. That position placed him on the company side of disputes and gave him direct experience managing complex claims and litigation strategies for an insurer.
In 2018 he became a partner at Mag Mile Law, LLC, where he continues to practice. He expanded his professional range in 2022 by working as a Soccer Agent Advisor for Sports Management Worldwide and by securing registration as an intermediary with U.S. Soccer. He also holds licenses from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as a property and casualty insurance producer and as a real estate agent. Those credentials reflect formal ties to insurance and real estate markets as well as to sports representation.
Iveljic maintains active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He also belongs to groups oriented toward sports and real estate law, such as the Sports Lawyers Association, the North American Society for Sport Management and the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Seventh Circuit, and his background spans litigation, corporate counsel responsibilities and athlete representation.
His work blends courtroom experience, insurer-side litigation and transactional matters tied to real estate and sports. At Mag Mile Law, LLC he handles matters that draw on those mixed qualifications. He currently focuses his practice on insurance litigation, transactional real estate matters and sports representation.
