Marina Kats Fraigun is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997 and holds bar number 192563. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Fraigun is the founder and managing partner of Fraigun Law Group, a law firm specializing in employment law, located in Sherman Oaks, California. She has been practicing law for over 26 years, serving clients throughout the Los Angeles area and the San Fernando Valley.
Ms. Fraigun earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California, graduating in 1997. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a specialization in Comparative Politics. She graduated cum laude and was named to the Dean's List during her studies at UCLA.
Ms. Fraigun concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law, representing employees in matters involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and retaliation. She handles cases at all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. Her firm is known for taking on complex cases and delivering results that change lives.
Throughout her career, Ms. Fraigun has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Ms. Fraigun is an active member of the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) and the California Lawyers Association (CLA), where she serves as Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Committee for the 2024-2025 term. She is also a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles (WLALA), serving as Co-chair of the Labor & Employment Committee, and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA). She holds an AV Preeminent Peer Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2014, including being named one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Southern California and one of the Top 100 Southern California Lawyers in 2024. Ms. Fraigun is fluent in English and Russian, allowing her to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
