About Maria DiBlasio
Maria DiBlasio Hale is a founding partner at Hale, Hale & Jacobson, P.A., a prominent law firm located at 2876 South Osceola Avenue in Orlando, Florida. Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 1999, she is known for her expertise in criminal defense, personal injury, and insurance law. Maria earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1998, where she was actively involved in both the mock trial and client counseling teams. This involvement laid the foundation for her focus on trial work—a critical aspect of her legal career. After graduating from Stetson, Maria served as an Assistant State Attorney with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office. During her tenure there, she gained extensive litigation experience, handling a diverse array of cases.
Her practice areas include criminal defense, DUI & DWI, animal & dog law, and juvenile law. Maria has managed numerous cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, conducting nearly 50 jury trials throughout her career. This experience as a prosecutor gave her valuable insights into the prosecution's strategies, which she skillfully leverages to benefit her clients in the courtroom. Maria's commitment to the legal profession extends beyond her practice — She is deeply involved in community service, particularly in the realm of education. Over the years, she has coached mock trial teams at various institutions, including Pinellas Park High School, Stetson University, and Barry University. Additionally, she has served as an adjunct professor at Barry University School of Law.
She teaches trial advocacy—an opportunity that allows her to share her knowledge and focus on the law with aspiring attorneys. In her role as a Guardian ad Litem, Maria advocates for children who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected, demonstrating her dedication to social justice and community welfare. Her professional affiliations are extensive; she is an active member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, the Florida Bar Code and Evidence Committee, and the Florida Bar Standing Committee on Professionalism.
