About Marcy

Marcy Allen built her legal foundation in the Southeast. She earned a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1992, then returned to school for a law degree. She received her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2001.

Her career began in Texas immediately after law school. In 2001 she joined The Pfister Law Office in Frisco as an associate, a firm that is now known as Pfister Borserine & Associates, PLLC. That first year in a busy Texas practice provided hands-on exposure to client intake, drafting pleadings and courtroom procedure. A move back to Louisiana followed in 2002 when she became an attorney with Theus, Grisham, Davis & Leigh in Monroe. She later took a role at Cameron Murray & Associates in Monroe in 2011.

Across those years she handled a broad array of tasks that come with being a practicing attorney: advising clients, preparing for hearings, managing discovery and negotiating settlements. Her work has spanned both transactional and contested matters, and she has experience coordinating files from initial client interview through resolution. Colleagues and file histories show a lawyer comfortable handling the daily demands of practice in small and mid-size firm settings.

She is admitted to practice in Louisiana and in Texas and has maintained a practice that reflects that dual admission. That cross-jurisdictional background has required familiarity with different state procedural rules and expectations. It has also meant moving between courthouse calendars, filing systems and the local practices that shape courtroom work in each state.

Today she practices under the name Marcy L. Allen, Lawyer at Law. Her practice is set up to serve individual clients and local businesses. She manages matters from initial intake through resolution and uses the experience she gathered in both Texas and Louisiana to advise clients about practical choices and legal timelines. Her current practice concentrates on civil matters and client representation in state courts in Louisiana and Texas.
