About Marco Michael

Marco Michael Bisbikis built his legal foundation at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where he earned both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws. He completed his J.D. in a curriculum centered on litigation and later returned to Cooley for an LL.M. in Corporate Governance and Finance. Those academic choices shaped the twin strands of his practice: courtroom work and corporate matters.

After law school, Bisbikis entered practice in Michigan. He is licensed to practice in that state. Early in his career he handled contested matters that required courtroom time and motion practice, and he also advised clients on transactional issues and governance questions. The combination of litigation training and graduate study in finance equipped him to move between those roles.

Bisbikis’s litigation work has involved pretrial strategy, discovery disputes, brief writing and hearings. He has worked on cases where procedural control mattered as much as the underlying claim. On the transactional side, his LL.M. coursework covered board responsibilities, regulatory considerations and financial reporting issues. That academic background informed how he counseled business clients about governance and compliance topics.

Peers and colleagues describe him as methodical. He tends to break complex files into discrete problems. That approach applies whether he is drafting pleadings, negotiating corporate agreements, or advising a board. He is comfortable explaining technical regulatory concepts in plain language. Clients who confront both litigation risk and governance questions have sought that combination of skills.

Bisbikis has kept ties to legal education. He returned to Cooley for graduate study after earning his J.D., an uncommon path that reflects continued interest in the intersection between corporate law and dispute resolution. His academic work in corporate governance and finance complements practical experience, especially on matters that require interpreting fiduciary duties or assessing financial disclosures.

He practices in Michigan, where he handles matters that cross the line between business and litigation. He continues to split his time between advising on corporate governance and finance issues and representing clients in contested matters in state courts. He currently focuses his practice on corporate governance, finance and litigation matters in Michigan.
