About Marco

Marco Corales is a Georgia lawyer whose career has been rooted in courtroom work and criminal defense. He earned a B.A. in English from Florida International University in 1997 and went on to receive his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2005. Those years set the stage for a career that moved quickly from classroom to courthouse.

He began his legal career in public service. In 2005 he served as an assistant public defender in the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office. That early stint placed him on trial dockets and in plea discussions. It exposed him to a variety of criminal matters and the pace of municipal and state court calendars.

After his time as a public defender, Corales transitioned into private practice. Over the years he has taken on cases that required courtroom presence and direct client representation. He has also been active in professional groups that focus on criminal defense. Since 2014 he has been a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and he joined LMHH Legal the same year. Those associations reflect ongoing engagement with peers and continuing legal education.

Colleagues describe his work as practical and straightforward. He handles defense matters in Georgia courts and prepares cases for trial when necessary. He spends time researching legal issues, drafting motions, and standing in front of judges and juries. The work requires an ability to make quick decisions, manage evidence, and communicate plainly with clients about options and likely outcomes.

Corales works out of Corales & Woody, LLC. There he shares responsibility for case work, courtroom appearances, and client consultations. He takes cases that range across misdemeanor and felony levels. His practice blends litigation with the negotiation that often resolves cases before trial. He is known for a methodical approach to case development.

Over two decades after earning his law degree, Marco Corales remains engaged in criminal defense in Georgia. He continues to represent clients in state court and to handle trial and pretrial work at Corales & Woody, LLC. His current practice focuses on criminal defense matters in Georgia state courts.
