About Marco-Aurelio
Marco-Aurelio Casalins built his legal foundation at Rutgers. He earned a Bachelor of Science in 1998 and returned to Rutgers School of Law–Newark for his J.D., which he received in 2002. Those credentials set the stage for a career that has moved between private practice and the classroom.
Casalins began his practice work in the early 2000s. Records show he worked as a business law associate at Dechert, LLP in 2001. He later joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as a business law associate in 2007. Those roles involved the kinds of commercial and transactional matters that large firms handle, and they also provided opportunities to appear in federal and state forums.
He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, and he holds admissions to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Those court admissions suggest regular engagement in federal litigation and proceedings across the region.
Casalins has split time between practice and teaching. He served as an adjunct professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2012. Later, in 2019, he taught as an adjunct at California State University San Marcos. Those academic appointments indicate a continuing interest in legal education and in mentoring newer lawyers or students exploring the law.
He remains involved in professional associations. He maintains memberships in the New York Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Membership in these organizations keeps him connected to developments in practice, networking and professional resources.
Over the years his work has taken him between private-firm business law roles and classroom instruction. That combination has kept him engaged with both the day-to-day demands of legal work and the longer view that comes from teaching law students. He appears in state and federal courts and handles business law matters in both transactional and litigation settings.
As of 2026 Casalins continues to practice law and to take on work that involves business law issues and appearances in state and federal courts. His current practice focuses on business law matters and representation in state and federal courts.
