Marc Andrew Lieberman is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1991. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Lieberman is a partner at FLP Law Group LLP, a business law firm located in Los Angeles, California. He has been practicing law for over 34 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding counties in Southern California.
Mr. Lieberman earned his Juris Doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law, where he graduated in 1991. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Brown University, receiving an A.B. with High Honors in Spanish and Linguistics in 1986. During his time at Brown, he also studied at the University of Madrid Complutense, further enhancing his linguistic and cultural expertise.
Mr. Lieberman concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law, business law, and collections. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving pre-bankruptcy planning, complex bankruptcy proceedings, debt collection, and related litigation. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lieberman has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining FLP Law Group LLP, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Mr. Lieberman is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Los Angeles and California Bankruptcy Forums, the Financial Lawyers Conference, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Southern California Business Litigation Inn of Court, and the James T. King Bankruptcy Inn of Court. He is also a long-time member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Order of Distinguished Attorneys. He has been recognized with the highest possible rating of 10.0 ('Superb') from the Avvo directory of American lawyers. Mr. Lieberman is fluent in Spanish, French, and Portuguese, allowing him to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
