About Manuel Jess
Manuel Jess Barba is a DUI defense attorney based in Riverside, California. He has been practicing law since 1999, focusing exclusively on DUI defense throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Mr. Barba earned his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law in 1998. Prior to that, he completed his undergraduate studies at California State University, San Bernardino, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences in 1991.
In his practice, Mr. Barba handles various DUI-related cases, including those involving alcohol and drugs. He has been recognized with the ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist Designation, awarded by the American Chemical Society's Chemistry and the Law Division. This designation is granted to attorneys who demonstrate a knowledge of the scientific aspects pertinent to DUI defense. Mr.
Barba is also a nationally recognized Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Instructor. He has completed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) DWI Detection Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor Program and has taught SFST courses to other lawyers across the United States. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the California DUI Lawyers Association. He serves on the Board of Directors, the National College for DUI Defense, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr.
