About Mandeep Singh
Mandeep Singh Rupal trained at Chapman University. He completed his legal studies there before beginning a practice in California. His classroom work included courses that prepared him for the regulatory and transactional issues common in health care law.
Rupal built his career in California. Over time he concentrated his practice on matters arising in the health care sector. That progression led him to join professional groups that gather lawyers who handle hospital regulation, reimbursement, compliance and related legal concerns.
He is a current member of the California Society of Healthcare Lawyers, the American Healthcare Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association’s Healthcare Law section. Those memberships reflect ongoing engagement with the developments shaping health care regulation and policy at both the state and national levels. He participates in meetings, tracks regulatory changes and communicates with peers about emerging issues.
Colleagues describe his work style as practical and detail-oriented. He approaches problems by sorting the legal issues from the operational ones, then advising on steps that respond to both. In practice that has meant counseling institutional clients and individual practitioners on regulatory compliance, contract matters and internal policy questions. He also assists organizations that need to interpret regulatory guidance or to adapt to new statutory requirements.
Rupal’s practice sits at the intersection of law and health care operations. He spends much of his time reviewing contracts, advising on reporting and compliance obligations, and helping clients craft policies to meet regulatory expectations. He keeps current on changes in federal and California state rules that affect licensure, reimbursement and clinical operations.
Outside of case work he maintains ties to the professional community through the associations where he holds membership. Those relationships give him a steady line to educational programs and to peers who handle specialized issues. He uses those resources to inform the advice he gives clients and to stay current on practical and legal trends.
Today he continues to practice in California and concentrates his work on matters arising in health care law, including regulatory compliance, transactional issues and policy interpretation.
