About Makenna
Makenna Powell built her legal foundation at the University of Oklahoma. She earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2013. Before law school she completed two undergraduate degrees at the same university: a B.A. in Economics (2009) and a B.A. in Criminology (2010). Those years framed a classroom path that led directly into legal studies and practice.
After law school Powell moved into private practice. She is licensed to practice in Texas and has handled matters on behalf of individual clients and small organizations. Over time she established an independent practice. She is active in professional circles and holds current membership in bar-related organizations and other legal associations.
Her work combines courtroom preparation, client counseling, and negotiation. She prepares filings, manages discovery, and represents clients at hearings when cases require a formal appearance. She also spends time advising clients about procedural strategy and the practical implications of different legal paths. Colleagues describe her as methodical and precise in file management and legal drafting.
Powell operates The Law Office of Makenna Powell. The firm handles a range of matters for people and local businesses across Texas. She runs a small office structure that emphasizes direct client contact and hands-on involvement in each matter. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in Texas through The Law Office of Makenna Powell.
