About Mac
Mac Hester built his legal foundation at Clemson University, where he earned a B.S. in economics in 1982. He continued his studies at the University of South Carolina School of Law and received his J.D. in 1986. Those years shaped the practical side of his approach to cases and the analytical side of how he evaluates them.
After law school Hester entered private practice. He holds licenses to practice in both South Carolina and Colorado. His membership in the Larimer County Bar Association places him in the community of Colorado lawyers, while membership in national and state trial organizations signals a courtroom-oriented practice.
Hester is active in professional associations that serve plaintiff-side litigators. He belongs to the American Association for Justice and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Those memberships align with a practice that involves contested hearings and jury trials. He also keeps connections at the local level through the Larimer County Bar Association.
He practices through two offices: Mac Hester Law and Nursing Home Justice. The latter name reflects a specific emphasis that has emerged in recent years. Many of the matters he brings involve allegations arising from nursing homes and long-term care facilities. His work typically involves investigating facility records, consulting with medical experts, and preparing cases for court rather than pursuing routine settlements.
Hester’s files show a steady focus on litigation. He prepares cases to be tried and moves them through discovery, depositions and pretrial work. He litigates against institutions as well as individual caregivers when allegations warrant. He also handles broader personal injury matters that arise from accidents or negligent care.
Peers and opposing counsel recognize him for his persistence in the courtroom and for building files that are trial-ready. He maintains a practical courtroom demeanor and a methodical approach to evidence and witness preparation. Outside the courtroom he engages with the professional community through association events and local bar activities.
Now in practice through Mac Hester Law and Nursing Home Justice, he concentrates on nursing home abuse and personal injury representation in Colorado and South Carolina. His current practice focuses on nursing home abuse and related personal injury cases.
