About M. Chase
M. Chase Wells earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2007. He built the foundations of his legal career in North Carolina after law school. His early steps into the professional bar coincided with his enrollment in the litigation section of the state bar association, reflecting an interest in courtroom matters from the outset.
Soon after graduating, Wells became an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Litigation Section, a role he has held continuously since 2007. That long-standing participation has kept him connected to developments in trial practice, civil procedure, and the rules that shape courtroom advocacy across the state. The membership also places him in regular contact with other practitioners who handle contested matters in both trial and appellate courts.
Beyond state-level professional involvement, Wells has maintained ties to his local community. Since 2011 he has been affiliated with the Haywood County Chamber of Commerce as part of its Young Professional group. That participation signals an ongoing presence in community and civic activities and brings a local perspective to his work as a lawyer.
Wells is admitted to practice in North Carolina and has focused much of his professional life on litigation-related work. He has handled contested matters that require preparation for hearings, motion practice, and courtroom appearances. His routine includes drafting pleadings, arguing motions, and advising clients about procedural timelines and evidentiary considerations. Colleagues and clients have relied on his consistent presence in the litigation community for procedural guidance and practical case management.
Over the years Wells’s practice has remained rooted in the state where he trained. He continues to participate in bar association programming and local professional networks to stay current on procedural developments and best practices in trial work. He currently practices law in North Carolina, concentrating on litigation matters.
