Lynn Margaret Sherrell is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1983. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Sherrell is the sole proprietor of the Law Office of Lynn Sherrell, a solo practice located in Berkeley, California. She has been practicing law for over 40 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Ms. Sherrell earned her Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1983. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, Russian Language, and Literature in 1979. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Russian Language and Literature from California State University, San Francisco State University, obtained in 1978.
Ms. Sherrell concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, and probate law. She represents individuals and families in drafting wills and trusts, navigating the probate process, and managing trust administration. Her practice encompasses all stages of estate planning, including initial consultations, document preparation, and post-death administration.
Throughout her career, Ms. Sherrell has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Alameda. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at several law firms in San Francisco, focusing on personal injury, products liability, and workers' compensation law.
Ms. Sherrell is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law, as recognized by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California. She is an active member of the East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers and the State Bar of California Trusts and Estates Section. She has also been involved in community education, teaching seminars on wills and trusts through the Berkeley Adult School.
