About Luke Alan

Luke Alan Homen practices bankruptcy law across two states. He splits his professional attention between the procedural work at the courthouse and the practical demands of clients and colleagues. His practice is informed by years of involvement in local and national bankruptcy organizations.

Homen earned a B.A. in English and Economics from the University of California, Davis in 2005. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2008. Those academic years shaped his approach to written advocacy and courtroom procedure. He emerged from law school prepared to work in an area of law defined as much by paperwork as by oral argument.

After law school he established himself in bankruptcy practice. Over time he took on roles beyond client matters, serving on committees that shape court procedures. In 2022 he joined the Rules Committee of the Western District of Oklahoma Bankruptcy Court. That position put him in regular contact with judges, clerks, and fellow practitioners on questions about local rules and court administration.

Homen has been active in bar and trade groups. Since 2022 he has served as Chairman of the Bankruptcy Section of the Oklahoma County Bar Association. He also holds memberships in the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers, both of which he joined in the early 2020s. Those affiliations extend his professional network and keep him current on changes in bankruptcy practice and trustee procedures.

He practices from Convenient Bankruptcy, where he handles matters that arise in consumer bankruptcy dockets as well as related procedural issues. He works in both Oklahoma and California jurisdictions and appears in the bankruptcy courts that cover those states. His practice involves preparing filings, attending hearings, and coordinating with court staff and trustees when matters require it.

Colleagues describe Homen as methodical; he breaks complex schedules into manageable steps. He does not confine his work to the courtroom. Committee service and bar leadership have become a steady element of his professional life. That engagement helps him stay attuned to how local rules evolve and how administrative decisions affect day-to-day practice.

He continues to practice bankruptcy law at Convenient Bankruptcy and maintains active involvement in court committees and professional associations focused on bankruptcy practice.
