About Lucia

Lucia Regalado arrived at law after an early interest in language and argument. She earned a law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2012. Before that she studied English at Texas A&M University, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in the subject. Those academic steps set the groundwork for both courtroom work and mediated resolution.

Her early years after law school involved building a practice that blends traditional representation with alternative dispute resolution. She is admitted to practice in Texas. In addition to her role as an attorney, Regalado pursued formal training in mediation and holds certification from the Tim Evans Dispute Resolution Center. That credential is part of how she frames disputes — as problems to be resolved rather than only fights to be won.

Colleagues describe her as steady and deliberate in negotiation settings. She draws on classroom instruction in rhetoric and the practical demands of client work. That combination shows in case intake and in the drafting of settlement agreements. In mediation sessions she tends to emphasize clear communication and careful listening. Those are practical techniques, not rhetorical flourishes. They often change the tenor of a negotiation in short order.

Regalado established Regalado Law & Mediation Center to provide a base for both law practice and neutral facilitation. The firm serves local clients seeking legal representation as well as parties looking for a structured environment in which to settle disputes. Her work at the center ranges from advising clients on legal options to running multi-party mediation sessions. The office functions as both a litigation practice and a mediation resource, reflecting the dual nature of her training.

Outside of client meetings she keeps up with continuing education in dispute resolution and local court procedures. That helps when a mediated agreement needs to be translated into enforceable court orders. It also helps when an amicable settlement proves impossible and litigation becomes the only avenue left.

Her approach is pragmatic. She favors clear explanations and efficient processes. Clients can expect practical next steps and straightforward assessments of risk. She maintains a practice in Texas and continues to handle both attorney representation and mediator roles at Regalado Law & Mediation Center. Her current practice centers on mediation and related legal matters.
