About Lucas
Lucas Williams earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2015. He completed a rigorous legal education in Dallas and left school prepared for courtroom work, research and client counseling. Law school years gave him a foundation in legal writing, appellate analysis and trial procedure. Those elements have shaped how he practices today.
After graduating in 2015, Williams moved into private practice. He spent his early years learning the mechanics of case preparation, motion practice and client intake. He handled document review, drafted pleadings and supported more senior attorneys at trial. Those first assignments allowed him to see a file through from intake to disposition and to test the theories he had learned in clinic and class.
As his career progressed, Williams took on greater responsibility on cases. He began managing discovery, conducting depositions and arguing procedural matters in court. He developed a methodical approach to fact gathering and relied on clear, plainspoken explanations when advising clients. Colleagues describe him as deliberate in analysis and attentive in client meetings; he tends to break complex issues into concrete steps for clients.
Williams has also spent time refining his written work. Briefs and motions show attention to structure and an effort to anticipate opposing arguments. He emphasizes organization in preparation. That care is evident in how he presents timelines and compiles exhibits. He is comfortable moving between research, drafting and courtroom calendar work.
Today Williams is an attorney at Zinda Law Group, PLLC. His practice involves representing private clients and businesses in a range of legal matters. He takes cases that require steady procedural handling and clear client communication. He maintains a steady docket and focuses on resolving disputes through both negotiated solutions and litigation when necessary.
Outside the office he continues to follow developments in case law and procedural rules. He attends seminars and reads current opinions to keep his practice aligned with recent decisions. In 2026 he remains active at Zinda Law Group, PLLC, where he focuses on representing individuals and businesses in legal matters.
