About Lucas P.
Lucas P. Frei is an attorney admitted in both Colorado and Arizona who has built a practice around tax law and related matters. He combines graduate study in tax with litigation and firm management experience. His educational background spans anthropology at the undergraduate level to advanced tax study at the law school level.
He earned an LL.M. in Tax Law from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (2016). He holds a J.D. from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University (2014) and a B.S. in Anthropology/Humanities from Northern Arizona University (2012). The sequence reflects a move from liberal arts into law and then into specialized tax study.
Frei began his post-law school practice as a senior associate at Robinson and Henry, P.C. in 2016. He later opened The Law Offices of Lucas P. Frei, PLLC in 2018 and served as its managing lawyer. In 2019 he returned to Robinson and Henry, P.C. in the role of lead tax lawyer. By 2021 he had taken on roles at Phelps LaClair and at The Citadel Law Office as a lawyer. That mix of solo practice, firm roles and tax leadership gave him a range of experience on both client-side counseling and firm operations.
His training in tax law, including the LL.M., underpins much of his legal work. The record shows sustained involvement in tax matters at Robinson and Henry and elsewhere. His undergraduate study in anthropology suggests a broader interest in how people and systems interact, a perspective that can inform client work in complex regulatory or tax settings.
Frei maintains memberships in professional associations and stays active in the bar communities of Colorado and Arizona. He handles client matters across those two jurisdictions and has practiced in both states since completing his formal legal education.
He is currently affiliated with The Citadel Law Office. He concentrates on tax law matters in his current practice at The Citadel Law Office.
