About Louis
Louis Hollingsworth began his path in law at the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona, where he completed his Juris Doctor in 1986. He entered the profession as the decade turned, carrying a classroom training that emphasized legal reasoning and courtroom procedure. The early credential set the stage for a career that moved between public service and private practice.
He joined the Pima County Lawyer’s Office as a deputy county lawyer in 1987. In that role he worked inside county government during a formative period in his career. The position exposed him to the practical demands of representing a public entity and to the procedural rhythms of local courts. It also provided experience that would later inform his approach to civil litigation.
In 1992 Hollingsworth became a partner at Hollingsworth Kelly. Over time he built a practice that centers on civil injury matters. The State Bar of Arizona has recognized him as a Certified Specialist in Injury & Wrongful Death. That certification marks a measured professional credential rather than a promotional claim: it reflects an approved level of training and experience in those case types.
Outside the office he remains involved in professional associations. He maintains memberships in the Pima County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. Those affiliations have kept him connected to local and national conversations on litigation practice, procedural changes and continuing legal education. He has combined that network with practical courtroom work to maintain a steady litigation docket.
Hollingsworth’s career shows a progression from public-sector counsel to a long tenure in private practice. He shifted from county representation to partnership within five years and has practiced in Arizona courts ever since. His day-to-day work involves preparing cases, handling discovery, and representing clients in trials and settlement negotiations. The certification in injury and wrongful death cases is a notable professional milestone in that trajectory.
He continues to serve as a partner at Hollingsworth Kelly and handles civil injury and wrongful death matters for clients in state and local courts. He currently practices at Hollingsworth Kelly, concentrating on injury and wrongful death cases.
