About Lorna K.

Lorna K. Geiler took a direct route into the law. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University in 1983 and went on to graduate from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1986. Those years laid the groundwork for a long career in the Illinois legal community.

After leaving law school she established herself as a member of the Illinois bar. Over the years she added admissions to the federal bench, including the Seventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials allow her to represent clients in state and federal matters and to appear in appellate forums.

Her admission to practice before the Seventh Circuit and the Supreme Court points to experience handling appeals and federal appellate procedure. That work demands careful brief writing and a clear command of legal standards. Geiler’s standing before those courts means she can carry cases beyond the trial level when the client’s interests require it.

Geiler has practiced in Illinois for more than three decades. During that time she has handled matters that traverse trial and appellate processes, preparing filings and presenting arguments at different court stages. Her legal background reflects steady practice rather than public fanfare. She has maintained a professional presence in the courts that admit her.

Today she continues to maintain an active practice in Illinois and before federal appellate courts. Her work is conducted under the admissions she holds to the Illinois bar, the Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and her practice reflects that range of courtroom and appellate capabilities.
