About Lori A.

Lori A. Sochin built a deliberate path into the law. She earned her B.S. in Business, Marketing from the University of Florida in 1980 and returned to the same campus to complete her J.D. in 1991. Those two degrees frame a professional life that bridges business understanding and courtroom practice.

Her early years in the profession saw rapid advancement. She joined Greenberg Traurig, LLP as an associate in 1994. Over the next decade she advanced inside the firm and became a shareholder in 2001. That period provided sustained time in a large-firm environment and exposure to the demands of complex client work and institutional practice.

After more than a decade at Greenberg Traurig she shifted roles and settings. In 2012 she served as of counsel at Wargo & French LLP. The following year she took an of counsel position at Schlesinger & Associates, P.A., and launched her own practice as president of The Law Office of Lori A. Sochin, P.A. in 2013. Each move marked a different approach to client service and case handling — from the collaborative structure of large firms to the autonomy of a small, client-centered office.

She is admitted to practice before the Florida courts and in two federal districts: the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Those admissions reflect a practice that encompasses work in both state and federal forums. Over the course of her career she has managed litigation and court filings across those jurisdictions and represented clients in proceedings that required federal court appearances.

Colleagues and clients have noted her practical approach to legal problems. She draws on a business background when assessing risk and advising on procedural strategy. Her experience in larger firms informs how she staffs matters and marshals resources, while her time in smaller practices and in solo leadership has shaped how she communicates with clients and controls costs.

Today she heads The Law Office of Lori A. Sochin, P.A., where she continues to represent clients in matters handled in Florida state and federal courts. Her current practice handles litigation and court-related matters in those jurisdictions.
