Loren Leslie Lunsford is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California and Oregon. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001 and the Oregon State Bar in 2003. His license is currently active. Mr. Lunsford is the founder and owner of The Lunsford Law Firm, a law office located in San Diego, California. He has been practicing law for over two decades, serving clients throughout California and Oregon.
Mr. Lunsford earned his Juris Doctor degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2000. He furthered his legal education by obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2001. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at Lewis & Clark College, graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management Studies and German Studies. During his time at Lewis & Clark College, he also studied abroad at Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich, Germany, in 1996.
Mr. Lunsford concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, construction law, and employment law. He represents clients in matters involving business contracts, business dissolution, business finance, business formation, business litigation, franchising, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and shareholder disputes, construction contracts, construction defects, construction liens, construction litigation, employee benefits, employment contracts, employment discrimination, ERISA, overtime and unpaid wages, sexual harassment, whistleblower claims, and wrongful termination. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including hearings, appeals, negotiations, and trials in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lunsford has handled cases in the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California, the District of Oregon, and the Southern District of Texas. He has also appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at Martensen Wright PC in Sacramento, California, where he advised clients on corporate structuring, business formation, intellectual property, international dispute resolution, and succession planning. He has represented individuals and multinational corporations in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Lunsford is an active member of the Sacramento County Bar Association. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Nuclear Field "A" School, Nuclear Power School, and Nuclear Prototype Training Unit. He is fluent in German, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of California and Oregon effectively.
