About Lloyd Everett
Lloyd Everett Long earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2004. He moved into public service immediately after law school and began a career that has spanned both prosecution and private defense. His legal education set the stage for courtroom work early in his career.
In 2004 Long took a position as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Philadelphia County District Lawyer’s office. Those first years placed him in a busy urban court system. He gained courtroom experience and worked on a range of criminal matters under the supervision of experienced prosecutors.
By 2008 he had entered private practice as a managing partner at Krasner & Long, LLC. In that role he handled case strategy and firm operations while representing clients in criminal matters. The position combined courtroom work with the practical demands of running a small law firm.
In 2017 Long opened his own practice, Lloyd Long, Criminal Defense Lawyer. Since then he has focused on defending individuals charged in Pennsylvania courts. His practice takes cases from arraignment through trial, and he represents clients in a variety of criminal charges at the state level.
Long has been active in the local bar community for many years. He joined the Executive Committee of the Criminal Justice Section of the Philadelphia County Bar Association in 2007 and has remained on that committee. Through that service he has been involved in section meetings, continuing education offerings, and discussions on criminal justice issues affecting practitioners in the county.
He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and maintains a practice based in the region where he began his career. His work reflects experience on both sides of the courtroom, from prosecutorial responsibilities early on to defending clients in private practice.
As of 2026 Long continues to operate his solo practice, representing clients in criminal matters in Pennsylvania state courts and handling pretrial and trial work on behalf of those clients.
