About Lizette

Lizette Reboredo trained at the University of Miami, earning a B.S. in Psychology and later a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1987. Her academic background pairs social science and legal training. That combination has informed the way she approaches family disputes and mediation work.

She is licensed to practice in Florida. Over the years she established a career centered on alternative dispute resolution in family law. She holds two Florida Supreme Court certifications: one as a family mediator and another as a circuit civil mediator. Those credentials allow her to handle a range of mediated matters that arise in family and civil contexts.

Outside of certifications and courtroom credentials, Reboredo has taken on community and professional roles. She serves on the Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board and chairs the board’s special events and fundraising committees. She also maintains memberships in several professional circles, including the National Association of Divorce Professionals, the Florida Lawyers Network, and the Collaborative Family Law Institute, where she has been listed as a member since 2015.

Her practice model emphasizes structured negotiation and respectful exchanges. She runs Divorce in Kindness, which frames its services around mediation and cooperative approaches to family separation. Her practice handles the mechanics of separation, custody conversations and financial settlement negotiations through mediated sessions rather than contested litigation whenever possible.

Clients and colleagues describe her work style as practical and procedural. She prepares cases for mediation, manages joint sessions and conducts shuttle mediation when parties cannot meet face to face. As a circuit civil mediator she also handles some non-family civil disputes that benefit from a mediated resolution.

Reboredo has combined community service and professional networking to sustain a practice that sits at the intersection of law and dispute resolution. She participates in local advisory activities while keeping an active role in professional organizations that shape family law practice and mediation standards in Florida. Her current practice focuses on divorce mediation and related family law dispute resolution.
