About Lisa
Lisa Ward built a consistent track record across education and community service before settling into private practice. She earned a B.A. from Reed College, a J.D. from UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, and later an LL.M. from the University of Kent. Those degrees framed a legal outlook that blends courtroom awareness with interest in alternative dispute resolution.
Her career has woven together bar work, volunteer service and section leadership. She holds memberships in the Oregon State Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association. Since 2018 she has served on the Executive Committee of the Washington State Bar Association’s Family Law Section. Locally she is Treasurer of the Clark County Bar Association’s Family Law Section and served as Vice President of the Clark County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section from 2014 to 2016. She also belongs to Two Rivers Institute and, since 2014, has been associated with the Center for International Studies.
Ward’s volunteer work is a steady part of her public profile. She volunteers for the Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program and for Community Mediation Services. Early in her involvement with collaborative practice groups, she served on the board of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals’ Access to Collaboration Task Force from 2015 to 2016. Those roles complement her practice and reflect ongoing ties to both mediation and family law networks.
Colleagues describe Ward as methodical and practical in handling family law matters. She has experience in collaborative practice and mediation alongside traditional litigation work. Her background — law school in Nevada, graduate work in the U.K., and roots in the Pacific Northwest — gives her a mix of procedural knowledge and comparative perspective. That combination informs how she approaches custody disputes, divorce settlements and related family law matters.
Ward now practices at Kindred Law. She continues to split time between direct client representation, section leadership in family law, and pro bono or volunteer mediation work. Her current practice concentrates on family law, collaborative practice and mediation.
