Lisa Victoria Houle is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2000 and holds bar number 207303. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Houle is the founder and managing attorney of Houle Law APC, a full-service criminal defense firm located in Rolling Hills Estates, California. She has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout Los Angeles County and the South Bay area.

Ms. Houle earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her time at Southwestern Law School, she gained practical experience through internships and participated in various legal clinics, enhancing her understanding of criminal law.

Ms. Houle concentrates her practice in the areas of criminal defense, including cases involving assault, sex crimes, domestic violence, DUI, homicide, kidnapping, and other misdemeanors and felonies. She represents individuals at all stages of the criminal justice process, from initial investigations and pre-trial motions to trial proceedings and appeals. Her extensive experience allows her to develop comprehensive defense strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

Throughout her career, Ms. Houle has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for Los Angeles County and has appeared before the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She has also been admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to founding her own firm, she served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for 15 years, where she prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including serious felonies.

Ms. Houle is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the South Bay Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Southern California from 2019 to 2026. Additionally, she served as a certified law enforcement instructor for the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and has provided training for the Los Angeles Police Department, the Department of Public Safety, and the LAX Airport Police Department. Ms. Houle is fluent in English and offers consultations in both English and Spanish to serve a diverse clientele.
