About Lisa
Lisa Taber trained at Western New England University School of Law. She went on to build a practice in New York that blends transactional work and settlement services. Her legal education provided a foundation in property and transactional law, and she has applied that training throughout a career spent largely on closing tables and in title matters.
She is a partner at Sciocchetti Taber, PLLC. In that role she handles matters that arise in residential and commercial property transactions, and she serves as a point person for clients navigating documents and closing procedures. Her work often intersects with title insurance questions, lender requirements and the mechanics of recording and transferring interests in real property.
Taber holds a Certified Registered Agent designation from Secured Settlements and she carries an ALTA Best Practices Certification from the American Land Title Association. Those credentials align with the transactional side of her practice. They also reflect a familiarity with industry standards for title production, escrow handling and settlement procedures.
