About Lisa S

Lisa S Tse trained at Washburn University School of Law, where she earned her J.D. She moved from law school into public-facing clinic work early in her career. Those volunteer stints in community legal clinics gave her a steady dose of practical experience and client contact.

While still near the start of her career she volunteered at the Chinese Information & Service Center Legal Clinic in 2012. The following year she served as a volunteer lawyer at the Eastside Neighborhood Legal Clinic. Those positions placed her directly in front of individuals navigating housing, debt and family law questions, and helped shape the practical side of her practice.

Her first firm roles were in bankruptcy practice. In 2013 she joined Jacoby & Meyers Bankruptcy - LLP as an associate, and the next year she moved to Advantage Legal Group in an associate capacity. In 2017 she took a staff lawyer position at the Office of the Chapter 13 Trustee. The period included courtroom work and drafting filings in Chapter 13 proceedings. It also exposed her to the administrative side of bankruptcy practice and the docket management that trustees handle.

Tse maintains her license in Washington. She holds memberships in the King County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Washburn University Alumni Association. Those associations keep her connected to the local bar and to the wider practice community from which she began her legal training.

After several years in firms and in the trustee’s office, she opened her own practice. The Law Office of Lisa S. Tse serves clients in the region. She brings years of experience on Chapter 13 matters and consumer bankruptcy issues to her solo practice. Her background includes representation in bankruptcy court, preparation of repayment plans and advocacy in hearings.

Colleagues describe her work style as methodical and client-oriented; she approaches cases in a practical fashion and places emphasis on clarity in filings and communications. Her time in clinics and in the trustee’s office informed how she manages client expectations and court procedures. She combines that experience with the operational demands of running a small office.

Her current practice concentrates on consumer bankruptcy and Chapter 13 matters.
